While I was always a relatively healthy child and teenager, I began living an unhealthy lifestyle as an adult due to feeling "invincible" against illness. I was eating unhealthy foods and not exercising. It was a huge "wake-up call" when my doctor told me I was becoming pre-diabetic. I then made it my mission to get healthy, but I failed several times when I tried to start "eating perfectly" all at once. I finally tried another technique and that was to start eliminating one unhealthy food or habit at a time, then eliminating another when the last change became a habit. After just a few "baby steps" to improve my health, I started losing weight and feeling better. I am now in the best health of my life, and I want to help others out there get healthy, too. I plan to post many health tips on my new blog!
