Everything was working against us. Stormy weather and lots of snow. Icy trails.
Fallen trees blocking every path.
Almost no mobile/cell reception... so impossible to get in touch and alter our plans.
Thankfully these two and their pup were adventurous enough to just go for it and we all made it up to the top of our hike for the big moment.
She said yes 😀 and we got some amazing photos from up high in the Cairngorms.
And also thankfully... we all made it down in one piece (though it took us about two hours to find our way back thanks to a lot of fallen trees forcing us to go off road!)
Oh and I made a new pal too- how adorable is Goose?!
Congrats again M & B, and thanks for finishing my 2023 off with a proper adventure!

As someone who moved FAR from home to start a life in Scotland (3652 km to be exact), it is extra special to me when families come home for a visit and book in for a photo session.
What a special way to create new memories with your growing family in the place you were born and raised- and have beautiful photos to pass on to your wee one as they grow,.
This happy trio travelled back over from Canada so their adorable son could meet his grandparents- and it was so meaningful to document such a special time for them in photos.

You know that I photograph couples and families. You’ve seen my work BTS- road trips, hikes, wandering about cities and exploring in the mountains. But how about MY real life behind the scenes?
When I’m not photographing/editing/working on my business you might find me:
⚡️Out exploring (or begrudgingly running) with my sidekick Dexter
⚡️Trying to keep up with my girls / adventuring with my family

⚡️Browsing vintage/charity shops
⚡️Lifting weights at the gym

I’ve been photographing weddings for well over a decade now- and I’ve had one wedding of my own (small, away from home and totally non traditional!) so I’ve been on both sides of this.
And I can honestly say that the key to having a brilliant wedding is simply to plan the one that reflects on who you are as a couple. 🙌

It really is that easy... kind of. There’s a fair bit of work that goes into planning surprise proposals and that’s why you need a local wing woman. That’s me!
⚡️Step one: I send you my info packed brochure, with loads of ideas, inspiration, and planning tips and advice.
⚡️Step two: we decide on location together, after going through all the options and figuring out what suits your itinerary- and the things you love to do as a couple.
⚡️Step three: we have a zoom meeting or call to go through a detailed plan for the day- we pinpoint an exact time and place, how the day will run, sort out extras like a picnic/flowers/bubbly and we get plans in place for all the “what ifs”.
⚡️Step four: we connect via mobile and set up a location share
⚡️Step five: you pop the question, your partner says HELL YES!!! and you celebrate (while I take relaxed, cute and fun photos of you and the person you love).
